MFI Airfoil Centrifugal Fan (Type ACF)

APPLICATIONS

“MFI” Airfoil Centrifugal Fans (ACF) are designed for Industrial and commercial air handling.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS

PRESSURES TO 13.5 INCHES WG

Pressure from ½ to 13.5 inches in volumes up to 406,000CFM and temperatures to 800 F.

STEEP PRESSURE CHARACTERISTICS

So steep that, If the original estimate of the system resistance was 30% low, the Backward Inclined Fan would deliver at least 90% of the original design.

LOW HORSEPOWER

The fan, with its high efficiency, uses far less horsepower than radial blades fans.
This permits smaller motor requirements and result in less power consumption.

NON-OVERLOADING HORSEPOWER

The motor can be sized for the operating horse power of the fan and not over sized.
Thus, increasing motor efficiency.

LOW SPEED

Fan speed with this type is 8% lower than with the airfoil wheel, further reducing maintenance.

“MFI” Airfoil wheels are all supplied in all fan sizes: 12.25 to 80.75 in steel and continuously welded SISW and DIDW.

Structural strength of airfoil blading is so great that tie rods and intermediate bracing rings are unnecessary.
This eliminates turbulence and permits a full flow of quiet air and increases efficiency.

All wheels are dynamically and statically balanced at factory.

Shaft are specially selected and turned (SAE 1040-1045) to give tight, accurate bearing and hub fit.
Shaft are sized to operate 20% or more below the first critical speed for each duty.
